If anyone knows me, they will tell you how much I love organic sea moss. I used to use it as a gel and apply it as a face mask, and honestly, I have probably convinced everyone I know to try it too. Back then, it was my own skincare secret until it became the answer I was searching for as a mum.

 

When my little Banksy boy was suffering with painful, bleeding nappy rash, nothing worked. Out of desperation, I turned to the organic sea moss gel I was already using on my own skin. The results were incredible and his skin finally calmed. But I could not leave him sitting in something wet and sticky, which can damage the skin further.

 

That is when I brought in another powerhouse: Australian grass fed, grass finished tallow. Blending the two created my very first balm that did not just soothe but deeply nourished and supported his delicate skin to regenerate. From there, Theorem Tallow was born.

 

Over time, my focus expanded. With a teenage daughter and my own skin needs evolving, I began to ask myself: if this balm could do so much for a sore little bum, how could I turn it into something that would work as a face cream? And then, how could I refine it further to replace what I was using for my fine lines and deep hydration?

 

That curiosity drove me to perfect each formula with Australian organic essential oils chosen for their proven skin supporting benefits, such as helping to soften fine lines, balance blemish prone areas, and reduce the appearance of dark spots. The natural aroma they bring to each blend was simply a beautiful bonus.

 

I also did something almost unheard of in tallow products. I added a natural preservative, Leucidal, made from fermented radish root. I chose it not just for shelf life but for what it does on the skin. It helps prevent the growth of the bacteria that cause breakouts, and many of our clients have found that within just a week of using our balms, new pimples stopped appearing and congestion eased. The same bacteria-fighting effect is why it is so powerful in our baby balm too, helping reduce irritation in nappy rash and allowing delicate skin to recover more quickly.

 

Another hero ingredient in our formulas is organic cold pressed hexane free castor oil, often called nature’s Botox. Rich and powerful, it not only deeply nourishes the skin but also helps pull moisture and nutrients into the deeper layers where they are needed most. It supports elasticity, softens texture, and works to plump and smooth the skin’s appearance, giving that supple, youthful look without chemicals or fillers.

 

I know there are many tallow companies out there that say just tallow and nothing else. But I truly believe in harnessing what nature has given us by combining tallow with sea moss, Leucidal, castor oil, and carefully chosen botanicals to create skincare that does not just moisturise but truly delivers results. My goal has always been to prove that you do not need synthetics to compete with high end skincare. You can achieve the same glow, repair, and resilience using only natural and powerful ingredients.
